Job Description

"The Portfolio Fulfillment Staff Manager is a key leader within the Global Demand and OTR CoE, responsible for guiding the regional team of Portfolio Fulfillment Managers (PFMs). This role is critical to the management and support of assigned service agreements, transactional deals, power plant operations, and customer engagements, ensuring alignment with financial, functional, business, and corporate objectives within Gas Power Services. The Portfolio Fulfillment Staff Manager collaborates closely with Service Directors and CPMs to effectively manage contractual commitments and engage with cross-functional teams, such as finance, IT, and parts fulfillment, to drive process excellence through the Order-to-Remittance (OTR) wing-to-wing process.

The Portfolio Fulfillment Staff Manager is accountable for the standardization and daily management of customer and functional processes and tools. This involves leading initiatives to enhance process excellence in collaboration with other regional Portfolio Fulfillment Staff Managers, ensuring the delivery of business and customer needs across the organization. The role demands a strategic approach to managing complex issues, supporting both short-term and long-term planning and execution, and contributing to the overall business strategy.

In this capacity, the Portfolio Fulfillment Staff Manager plays a vital role in fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, ensuring that organizational commitments are met and that operations are conducted with the highest standards of reliability and excellence. The position requires a dynamic leader with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive transformation and deliver impactful results. Leveraging data analytics for informed decision-making and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and performance are key aspects of this role."

Key Responsibilities

  • List of key/essential job responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Help operationalize the PFM CoE
  • Manage all operational metrics such as Demand Placements, Margin Review Prework, Policy 6 support, etc. Champions and strongly adheres to processes and system compliances.
  • Lead & develop regional team to simplify and create world class standard processes & policies
  • Establish right operational rhythms and rigor through Daily Management to ensure contract and operational excellence and event preparation readiness.
  • Act as the Regional focal point for Service Directors and Regional leadership, engaging with various teams and also utilizing the right tools ensuring the business has a consolidated, reliable and up to date view of outage pipeline.
  • Champion LEAN culture, lead transformation efforts in alignment with broader Operations strategy, guide continuous improvement of processes, & prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy & timely execution of Events Management, On Time Demand placement, Billing issuance along with billings & collections forecasting
  • Lead a team of Sub Regional PFMs
  • Anticipate risks, issues and highlight to COE leadership.
  • Identify, recruit, grow, and retain talent with appropriate levels of expertise to deliver on the daily management and/or transformational priorities of the organization
  • Foster strong partnership with cross functional teams, other CoEs and ensure seamless experience for Service Directors, CPM, Services Managers, etc."


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • ERP working experience; proficient in MS Office.
  • Proven experience in the Services &/or Contract Performance Management.
  • Minimum 8 year’s experience with the power generation services, industrial, manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • Managing teams and delivering through teams- Tactical thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
  • Ability to partner with horizontal teams like Pole/ITR Finances, Fulfillment, Operations

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior Experience in Customer Service, PFM, Field, CPM- like type of roles
  • Prior COE experience a plus
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated adaptability/flexibility: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or ability to operate in ambiguous situations
  • GE Program graduate
  • Lean & Continuous improvement Mindset
  • Minimum 2 years of operations leadership experience
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
