Job Description

Drive Meaningful Change

Are you motivated by data‑driven decision‑making and interested in shaping pharmaceutical portfolios within the UK market? As a Portfolio Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting portfolio strategy, performance analysis, and decision‑making within our UK team, which is based at our HQ in Copenhagen.

In this newly established role, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Product Analysts to provide structured insights that support portfolio development, optimization, and prioritization. Your analyses will help guide strategic discussions and ensure that portfolio decisions are grounded in strong market, performance, and commercial understanding.

Get a Glimpse of Our World

At Abacus Medicine Group, you’ll be part of a dynamic and forward‑thinking team, which is made up of passionate professionals who work closely together to drive strong commercial performance in a fast‑moving and evolving market.

As our UK business continues to grow and expand into new market segments, collaboration and clear analytical insight are key. In this team, Portfolio Managers, Product Analysts, and commercial stakeholders work side by side to ensure the portfolio is continuously reviewed, optimized, and aligned with market opportunities. You’ll join an environment where curiosity, open dialogue, and structured thinking are encouraged, and where analytical input is valued as a key enabler of strong decision‑making.

Realize Your Opportunities as a Portfolio Analyst

As a Portfolio Analyst, you will support the ongoing optimization and development of our UK portfolio by providing structured, portfolio‑level insights that help guide decision‑making.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and further developing the UK hospital portfolio

  • Supporting the introduction and development of the new retail portfolio segment

  • Support the launching of new products

  • Providing analysis to support optimal pricing decisions in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders

  • Analysing and supporting the optimisation of inventory levels across the portfolio

  • Contributing to the establishment of efficient and scalable ways of working as the portfolio evolves

  • Preparing performance reports, forecasts, and ad‑hoc analyses to support decision‑making

  • Monitoring market and regulatory developments, identifying risks, and contributing to potential solutions

Fuel for your success in the role

To succeed in this role, you are driven by results and motivated by having a real impact on the business. You bring an analytical mindset and commercial curiosity, and you are comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and navigating risk in a fast‑paced trading environment. You naturally see the bigger picture and enjoy connecting insights across data, portfolio performance, pricing, and inventory to support well‑grounded decisions.

You thrive in a collaborative setting and value strong relationships, while still taking responsibility for moving things forward. You adapt easily as priorities evolve, take pride in the quality of your work, and approach new challenges with energy and a proactive mindset.

Furthermore, we hope that these factors describe you:

  • A relevant academic background in Business, Economics, Finance, or a similar field.

  • Up to two years of experience in product analysis or market research

  • A strong analytical mindset and curiosity for understanding how data, pricing, inventory, and portfolio performance connect

  • A proactive and structured approach to your work, with the motivation to take ownership and learn in a fast‑moving setting

  • Fluency in English.
