The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Porter to join the team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort. As a Porter, you will be the first point of contact for all guests arriving at the hotel. This role is key to ensuring a personalised guest experience throughout their stay. What you will do?

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Assist with luggage handling, storage and delivery
• Guide guests to their rooms, explaining amenities and services
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
• Recommend dining, entertainment, shopping, tours and sightseeing options
• Assist with valet parking, organising airport transfers and taxis
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of lobby, entrance, and baggage areas
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards

More about you

• Exceptional customer service skills
• 6 months of experience as a Porter or in a similar role
• Experience in a 5-star hotel environment
• Knowledge of Foxtel entertainment system desirable
• Valid Manual NT Full C-Class Driver’s license is essential
• Commercial passenger vehicle licence (H endorsement) or willingness to obtain if successful
• Ability to work across a 7-day roster including evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays
