The Porter for the Beverage Department is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout all bar areas. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to creating a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in all bar areas, including countertops, shelving, floors, and equipment, following established cleaning protocols and health code requirements
  • Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of glassware, ensuring all items are properly washed, inspected for damage or residue, and returned to designated bar locations
  • Monitor, replace, and properly install empty beer kegs with full kegs, ensuring secure connections and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Organize, stock, and replenish bar inventory with precision, including beverages, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal accessibility and presentation
  • Conduct regular inspections of bar areas to identify cleaning needs and address spills, debris, or maintenance issues promptly
  • Maintain detailed attention to product placement, labeling, and organization to support efficient bar operations
  • Collaborate with bar staff to understand cleaning priorities and operational needs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, and bend throughout assigned shifts
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as required by position and applicable regulations
  • Must be able to lift and/or move kegs, cases of beer, floor mats and other heavy items.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a porter, housekeeping, or similar hospitality support role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining sanitation and health code compliance standards
  • Experience working in a fast-paced bar or beverage service environment
  • Proven organizational and inventory management capabilities
