About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Porter/Concierge, to join our team welcoming guests to RACV Royal Pines Resort. You will be the face of the resort utilising your amazing customer service skills to deliver our members & guests an exceptional experience.

In this busy and varied role, you will be on your feet and actively utilising your exceptional customer service skills, providing a high standard 5 star service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is a memorable & an enjoyable experience. You will be motivated and hardworking with the “can do attitude” which will see you thrive in the role. Your key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Welcome and greet guests entering the resort

  • Assist guests and large groups at check in/out

  • Monitor and manage traffic flow on resort entrance driveway

  • Arrange guests with bookings, transport, restaurant reservations & deliver messages

  • Transport and store guest luggage and belongings, lifting heavy items

  • Source and deliver items to guest rooms

  • Provide guests with information on the resort facilities, restaurants & services

  • Provide guests with information and recommendations on local Gold Coast events, restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions

  • Ensure resort entrance & hotel public areas remains in a clean & presentable manner

  • Drive golf carts on property

  • Collaborate with front office and other department teams

What you'll need to be successful

  • Full availability and flexibility to work a weekly rotating roster between 7am-11pm including evenings, weekends & public holidays, eg. 6.30am-2.30pm, 2.30pm-10.30pm
  • Hotel porter/concierge experience, in 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar environment
  • RSA Certificate & valid Qld Drivers Licence, essential
  • Knowledge of the Gold Coast region & hospitality industry - latest & upcoming events, attractions, restaurants, local places to visit and things to see
  • Clear communication skills, professional face-to-face and phone manner, active listening skills & strong interpersonal skills
  • Manage and resolve difficult situations, problem solving skills and work well in a busy environment
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications + PMS Opera, desirable
  • Deliver a high standard of quality customer service, excellent attention to detail, organisational and efficient time management skills
  • Work well in a team environment and with diverse groups of people
  • Be self motivated, confident, friendly, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting (eg. luggage) and working on your feet
  • Excellent grooming & personal presentation
