Travel Percentage: NoneJOB SCOPE: Provides cleaning services and minor repairs to the Residential facility and individual apartments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sweeps and mops all floors, offices, hallways, lounge, laundry room, community kitchen, and staircases on a daily basis.
- Dust, sweep and mop all bathrooms, and clean sinks and toilets. Ensure an adequate supply of paper products are available in bathrooms.
- Dusts furniture and all windowsills in common areas and staff areas.
- Cleans compactor, prepares and takes out garbage three times weekly. Cleans and keeps compactor and compactor room in clean and working order.
- Cleans laundry machines and dryers.
- Maintains outside of facility by sweeping and hosing down front end of building and yard. Shovel/clean snow from premises as necessary, and maintain safe entrance to the facility.
- Perform minor repairs and touch-ups as necessary, i.e., hanging pictures/bulletin boards, painting, light bulb replacement, faucet repair (washers, etc.), stripping floors and re-waxing, and other assignments as directed by supervision.
- Assists with cleaning resident apartments including, sweeping and mopping, wiping down counters and appliances, scrubbing toilets and showers, removing rubbish and garbage.
- Assists with any required preparation for extermination services, including preparations for bed bug treatment.
- Cleans and prepares vacant apartment (s) for occupancy as directed.
- Escorts outside maintenance vendors performing work in the building.
- Reports any damage or incidents to Program Director.
- Receives, stocks, and maintains an inventory of residence supplies, and distributes provisional supplies to residents as needed.
- Prepares and submits maintenance supply requisition to Program Director.
- Meets with Program Director weekly for supervision.
- Maintains a cordial, professional relationship with residents.
- Handles confidential information in accordance with Federal and New York State law and regulations.
- Adhere to personnel and residential policies and procedures as outlined in the PCMH Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual and the Residential Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Performs other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the program, as directed by the Program Director.

QualificationsKNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of routine power tools and cleaning equipment.
- Working knowledge of NYC Building Codes and City Regulations.
- Basic computer skills; Internet Search, Microsoft Office
- CPR/First Aid (must obtain Certification within 6 month of employment and maintain throughout duration of employment.)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred OR Minimum two (2) years’ experience in building cleaning requires, with general building maintenance skills desirable.
