Today, with over 2,000 discerning customers, GreenLeaf is in the unique position to be able to select and support hundreds of farms and suppliers committed to organic and regenerative farming, ethical ingredient sourcing, worker well-being, and growing local communities.

This position is the first step for an employee to gain experience in management and to grow within the company. The Porter 2 position is considered the below a team lead.

This position will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are filled accurately, in a timely manner. and always of the best quality. The employee will also be responsible for assigning work , training new hires and team , and learning to be lead.

What You’ll Do:
• Attends daily shift meetings follows daily exercise program, listens, and facilitates daily talks and gives suggestions whenever possible, ready to work with all proper personal equipment on (steel toe work shoes, facemask, hairnet..... etc.)
• Operates electric walkie or regular pallet jack in order to pick orders on a voice picking system. Responsible for taking care of the equipment and to report any accidents immediately.
• Order selects multiple customer orders on a voice picking system. Able to pick and stack product accurately and efficiently to meet company standards on a weekly basis.
• Processes shorts and substitutions throughout the night to assist the leads. Audit picked orders and informs the order selectors of their errors on the spot.
• Loads the orders on time and in the correct route and stop sequence so the drivers dispatch out on time.
• Train new hires on the voice picking system along with training them on the electric pallet jack required for the job they are performing.
• Follows the BRC program.
• Assigns work to other team members
• Take management classes
• Other duties and training as assigned or needed.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to deal with problems and effectively present information to a small group.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate basic figures and amounts.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

EQUIPMENT/MACIDNERY/TOOLS: Electric forklift, dolly, electric walkie pallet jack and electric ride-a-long pallet jack.

Stand and walk alternatively depending on specific needs of day. Estimate 90% of time is spent on feet and 10% sitting (break time).
Have regular need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push, or pull, reach above shoulders.
Have regular need to perform standing and walking activities.
Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds regularly. Lifting/carrying less than 30 pounds frequently.
Vision requirements: Frequent need to see small detail. Frequent need to see things clearly beyond arm's reach.
Hearing requirements: constant need to communicate in person.
Must be able to speak English and Spanish
