Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN. The Porter will be responsible for keeping all working areas and physical surroundings of the plant in a clean and orderly condition. This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory and Company procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting the plant's food safety culture and complying with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the position.
Clean and sanitize production floors in accordance with facility cleaning schedules.
Remove trash and food waste from designated areas; ensure waste is disposed of properly.
Sweep, mop, scrub floors; operate floor-cleaning equipment as required.
Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and entryways.
Assist with cleaning production areas needed.
Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain accurate chemical usage logs.
Ensure compliance with GMPs and all company safety policies.
Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Support special cleaning projects during plant shutdowns or as directed.
Adapts to shifting priorities and assists wherever needed to meet company goals.
Physical: Ability to lift 50 Pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights
Compensation: $18.06
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
