Job Description

A Port Facility Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily security operations and managing security personnel at a facility at one or more Carnival Corporation owned and operated global destination. This role involves coordinating the deployment of security staff, ensuring that all personnel are properly trained, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and security protocols. The supervisor also monitors ongoing operations to identify potential risks or vulnerabilities and develops strategies to enhance overall security measures. In addition, they are tasked with fostering a culture of vigilance and preparedness among the security team, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements. By continuously evaluating procedures and implementing improvements, the Port Facility Security Supervisor plays a key role in safeguarding the facility, personnel, and assets while maintaining a secure and well-organized environment.


Security Operations and Monitoring

  • Supervise and guide security officers, patrol property, and spot-check areas
  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure safety and respond to incidents effectively
  • Escort unwelcomed persons from the property
  • This segment covers the active, on-the-ground management of security personnel and facility surveillance.

    Emergency Management and Safety Compliance

  • Conduct emergency response drills; assist visitors and employees during emergencies
  • Conduct daily hazard/safety inspections; extensive knowledge of property layout
  • This segment focuses on preparing for and responding to emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and visitors. It includes proactive measures like safety drills, hazard inspections, and ensuring that the facility is compliant with safety standards."

    Documentation, Reporting, and Investigations

  • Maintain daily records and security-related documentation
  • Gather information, complete reports, and maintain confidentiality
  • Conduct investigations and interviews
  • This segment emphasizes the administrative and analytical side of security work. Accurate record-keeping, detailed reporting, and thorough investigations ensure accountability and help identify patterns or risks that may require attention."


    Personnel Management and Liaison

  • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching security employees
  • Acts as the Police liaison
  • Handle interruptions and complaints; defuse disturbances according to policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership
  • This segment involves managing and developing the security team, maintaining relationships with law enforcement and external partners, and ensuring smooth handling of incidents and complaints. It also encompasses flexibility to support leadership with additional duties."
  • Adheres to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employee’s control (list not exhaustive).
  • Ability to adhere to the company’s standards regarding dress and appearance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data protection standards when handling vendor financial or business documents

    Education

  • High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience is required; additional education in Hospitality or a related field is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in security management in the Tourism, Hospitality or Hotelindustry
  • Previous experience in Security Guard Supervision
  • Fluency in conversational English
  • Guest Facing Experience
  • Customer service experience gained in a similar role is required
  • Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with
    working knowledge of computerized accounting and payroll systems.
