We are looking for a Port Operative to join us at Hull Dry Bulks Terminal. The terminal operates 24/7 for shipside operations, ensuring continuous service for vessel loading and unloading.

Accountabilities

• Operate Plant and Equipment (including pre-start checks), during vessel loading discharging and cargo storage operations.
• Where relevant, understand and ensure targets are met ensuring that targets and operations remain continuous around safe and timely handover of shifts.
• Cleaning of equipment and site as required and assisting in various other port duties (some of which may be of a physical nature and may include working at height).

Qualifications and Experience

• Full UK driving (car) licence and must have own transport.
• Numeracy and Literacy skills
• Ability to navigate IT equipment e.g. smart phone, handheld terminals etc
• Experience with working with Bulk cargos would be advantageous

• Skidsteer
• Mobile Harbour Crane

The shift pattern will consist of 5 on, 3 off and will include night and weekend work.
