About the role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are looking for a Port Coordinator to ideally be based at our site in Portland. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for developing the plan for the day-to-day operations at GrainCorp Port Terminals. Your primary goal is to schedule the efficient, safe, and timely movement of cargo through the port consistent with Port Protocols and quality management systems. Other key responsibilities include;

• Bringing together the inputs from Operations, Logistics, Maintenance, Customers and other relevant stakeholders for the scheduling of all activities within ports
• Managing the coordination of Grain at Port and grain protection requirements to ensure maximum shipping opportunity is realised for GrainCorp and customers
• Monitoring, scheduling and tracking the audit, reporting and training tasks
• Managing the daily management of digital timecard system (Dimensions)

About your experience

Our successful candidate will come to us with previous experience in coordination and planning. Demonstrated skills and experience we are looking for include;

• Strong planning and problem solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to deadlines
• Ability to influence others in the achievement of required plans
• Application of quality requirements for different commodities and grades within commodities
• Understanding of Port Protocols and ability to apply them accordingly
• Ability to apply enterprise agreements in line with expected application
• Proficient in Jedox planning tools and any required online meeting platforms
• Proficient in UKG dimensions
• Interpretation and application of data
