The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for a qualified and experienced individual to join our Fixed Plant Department as Officer, Senior – Compliance.

About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent – Reliability Engineering, the Officer, Senior – Compliance is responsible for supporting the Reliability section of the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department. The role involves performing data entry using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other software tools, ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and reliability of information entered, updated, or retrieved and plays a key support role in assisting qualified planners and engineers with Environment & Safety audits.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in Fixed Plant Maintenance Environment / Safety audits

  • Liaise with Environment / Safety teams for pre audit preparations.

  • Able to enter audit actions in INX and allocate to execution teams with assigned work orders
  • Accurately record completed works and transfer relevant data into CMMS.

  • Coordinate audit action scopes and upload details into CMMS.

  • Review backlogs, ensuring timely planning of all compliance inspections.

  • Schedule work plans for compliance task to ensure timely completion.

  • Assist and coordinate with local contractors on execution of compliance tasks.

  • Update local contract employees on the crew database after confirmation with HR

  • Assist Superintendent – Reliability Engineering with documentation and filing of all compliance records.

  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance according to company policy.

  • Effectively communicate and provide handovers at the end of shifts.

  • Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant NPL policies & Procedures.

About You

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or higher education level.
  • Formal training in secretarial or related discipline.
  • Office administration, clerical, and typing skills.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in office administration.
  • Basic bookkeeping and office management experience.
  • Ability to interpret parts illustrations and locate/order parts as needed.
  • Good computer skills, including the use of integrated management systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools. Experience with MS Project is an advantage.
  • CMMS experience, able to raise work notifications in CMMS system
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in Tok Pisin is an advantage

Mobilization Requirement

This is a PNG National Local position, a site-based role on a Walk in Walk out arrangement with rotation of 14 days on and 7 days off. Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage) and have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months). Must be Local Porgerean (Cat 1A – SML, Cat 1B –LMP or Cat 2 – Other Porgera) candidate and available to start immediately.
