Job Description

The Cleghorn Club is looking for an outdoor enthusiast, customer service oriented with a servant’s heart

excited to work in a fun atmosphere at the seasonal pool and sports club with various amenities.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • You will be constantly interacting with all guests on the pool deck and all activity areas.
  • Proactively look for guest service opportunities and take ownership of requests.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude in difficult situations.
  • Provide games and accessories for guests such as basketball, billiards, shuffleboard when requested. Set up orders (tables or trays) according to standards.
  • To respond to guest inquiries on pool activities and other information regarding the facilities and services of the Sports Club.
  • Abide by ALL facility policies and rules at all times.
  • Breakdown and setting up of all pool equipment, chaise lounges, umbrellas and locker rooms on a daily basis including restocking of all items in refrigerators when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas and always come to work well presented and groomed to the departmental standards.
  • CPR/First Aid is a plus, but not mandatory. The Cleghorn Club pool is a “swim at your own risk” facility.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the al carte menu is mandatory, including daily features and specials that may not be available directly on the menu, including knowledge of all various liquors, beer, and wines available by The Cleghorn Club.
  • Work with Mulligan’s restaurant staff on to-go orders with the guest always in mind.
  • Basic computer knowledge is a must. (ForeUp Point of Sale knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior Sports/Swimming related experience ideal
  • Communication skills required
  • Listening and comprehension skills required
  • Positive interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift 25lbs and bend while performing work duties
  • Must be able to perform tasks outdoors in various temperatures
