What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll primarily support home sleep testing and sleep study scoring, while also performing in-lab diagnostic and titration studies in accordance with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform diagnostic polysomnography procedures and related testing
  • Conduct CPAP, VPAP, IVAPS, and VPAP Adapt titrations, PAP NAPs, MSLT, and MWT studies as ordered
  • Monitor patients throughout testing to ensure safety, comfort, and data quality
  • Score sleep studies accurately and consistently according to AASM standards
  • Administer respiratory services to inpatients and outpatients per physician orders
  • Work with a diverse patient population ranging from infancy through older adulthood
  • Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through BRPT or
    Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) through ABSM
  • Active state licensure for the state of practice
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred:

  • RPSGT credential preferred within two (2) years of hire if hired as RST
