Location: Marion, IL

Shift: Nights 6:30pm-7am

Time Type: Full Time

Facility/Clinic Name: Sleep Center

Position

  • Responsible for providing basic Sleep services.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Standards of Performance: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration, Stewardship, Accountability, Quality

Education

  • High School Diploma

Licenses and Certification

  • A-Step (Accredited Sleep Technologist) Completed within 2 years of hire date

  • BLS

Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience: Background in patient care.

Physical Activities

  • Intermittent hand manipulation required

  • Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds which can be modified

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitors and evaluates patients with possible sleep disorders under the direct supervision of a sleep technologist or technician until Initial Competency Assessment is completed.

  • The sleep trainee will have the technologist or technician co-sign all studies that the trainee performs.

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Provides explanations and instructions to patients.

  • Works in a heated, air-conditioned office with routine office noise. Operates a personal computer and general office equipment. Operates medical equipment. Occasional exposure to moderate environmental variations and limited exposure to hazardous or potentially injurious elements or conditions.

Compensation (Commensurate with experience):

$16.24 - $24.36
