Will perform the duties defined for a polysomnographic technologist under the direction of the Sleep Center Supervisor or a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). The Polysomnographic Technologist Apprentice (PTA) will train and perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis. Testing and analysis will involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. Will acquire a solid knowledge base in clinical applications of polysomnographic studies.
Will be responsible for the timely analysis of polysomnographic studies and generation of concise and detailed summary reports for review by the Medical Staff for confirmation of diagnosis. Will be required to assist with the performance of polysomnographic procedures, such as PSG for nightshift, MSLT’s and MWT’s. Will assist with equipment, cleaning, stocking, ordering and maintenance. Will be responsible as needed for the timely analysis of home sleep studies and the generation of summary reports for interpretation by medical staff. Will be responsible for scheduling and insurance pre-authorizations as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA, ARC, or AHSI required, will provide training
Obtain Registry in Polysomnography from AASM- within 2 years of hire
