Job Description

The Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester invites applications for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions. Adjunct faculty teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Political Science on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on departmental instructional needs and enrollment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement while contributing to the Department's educational mission.

Qualifications

Required

· Master's degree in Political Science or a closely related field by the time of appointment.

· Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the area(s) of instruction.

· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred

· Ph.D. in Political Science or a closely related discipline.

· Previous experience teaching at the college or university level.

· Evidence of effective, inclusive teaching practices.

· Experience using instructional technologies and learning management systems.
