Job Description

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered campaign rooted in grassroots support, integrity, and the belief that politics should work for everyday Texans. As we grow, we are preparing to expand our political team to ensure we have the resources needed to win.

While we are not currently hiring for specific political positions, we anticipate the need for talented, motivated individuals to join our team in the months ahead.

Requirements

We welcome resumes from individuals who:

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with elected officials, community leaders, and grassroots organizations.
      • Are skilled at coalition-building and stakeholder engagement.
      • Can track endorsements, manage outreach lists, and keep detailed notes on conversations and commitments.
      • Are comfortable representing the campaign in meetings and at events.
      • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are able to manage multiple priorities at once.
      • Share a commitment to Democratic values, grassroots organizing, and electing James Talarico.
      • Previous experience with political outreach, organizing, or campaigns is a plus.

About James Talarico for Texas State House District 52

James was born at Round Rock Hospital. After graduating from McNeil High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in government from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University. James taught 6th grade at an underserved public school where he worked with kids and

families to close the gaps in his classroom. He now serves as the local Executive Director of a nonprofit that provides innovative technology to thousands of our students. James is committed to working with everyone — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents — to move Texas forward.
