Policy Specialist

About the Job:

Euclid Transactional (“ET”) has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic counsel team. As part of our collaborative counsel team, you will play a key role in drafting insurance policies.

Essential Functions

  • Draft representations and warranties policy contracts based on corporate standard wordings, client clauses, and agreed terms.
  • Update standard policy templates.
  • Assists with policy negotiations.
  • Provide suggested policy form wording to address specific client needs.
  • Organize policy resources and maintain policy procedures.
  • Participate in Counsel Team projects.
  • Keep current on representation and warranties policy wording.
  • Develop specialized knowledge of policy provisions/mechanics.
  • Collaborate with Counsel, Underwriter and Claims team colleagues to maintain and improve quality of the policies.
  • Set challenging goals and work to meet them.
  • Effectively manage time.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • JD preferred or 2+ years of contract/document interpretation experience.

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and analyze complicated language in policies
  • Legal/contract interpretation background and knowledge a plus
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments
  • Excellent Word skills; proficient in technology
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing factors, conditions, or situations
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and geared towards internal client service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and team-focused approach
  • Excellent time management, organization, attention to detail, and task prioritization skills

Work Schedule/Location Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office.

Full-time based in our NY office.

The annual base salary for this position is $ ($120,000 - $180,000)
