The Planning and Resource Consents department shapes policy and planning outcomes across Auckland’s urban, rural, and coastal environments. With the government’s signalled RMA reforms, the gazetting of 21 new and amended national directions and the forthcoming review of the Auckland Unitary Plan there are both significant challenges and opportunities ahead.
The Central South Planning unit works on shaping policy and planning outcomes in an area which extends from Auckland’s city centre, through the Auckland isthmus to the fast-growing southern part of the Auckland region. As a Policy Planner in the Central South unit, you will:
