SALARY: $62,376.08 - $77,181.00 GRADE: 14 STATUS Ad-Tech

The Policy Compliance Assistant shall follow the chain of command of the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office and shall report directly to the Assistant Deputy Superintendent overseeing Policy and Compliance.

STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall assist in all areas of preparation for Department of Correction, Department of Public Health and
  • American Correctional Association Audits to include documentation collection and file preparation.
  • Shall assist in the development of follow-up action plans for all audits or inspections, based on the findings or recommendations of the regulatory agency audit/inspection team.
  • Shall assist in internal audits, of each operational area to identify non-compliance issues to Code of Massachusetts Regulations, National Correctional Standards and current NCSO policies.
  • Shall coordinate and assist in an initial review of each NCSO policy in relation to all current ACA, CMR and other applicable codes and standards to include reformatting and editing, within PowerDMS.
  • Shall coordinate with department heads, as necessary, to complete the annual review of each policy to ensure accuracy of titles and procedural content.
  • Assist in ensuring all revised, updated or newly created policies and procedures are complete and accurate, then posted in Power DMS.
  • Shall provide operational support to the other Compliance Unit staff persons.
  • The Sheriff of Norfolk County reserves the right to add or delete from these responsibilities.

HOURS OF WORK:
40 hours per week. These hours may vary according to the needs of the Correctional Center and may be set by the Sheriff or their designee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Willingness and ability to work on a varied number of simultaneous projects
  • Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s licenses
