Job Description

What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.

  • Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.

  • Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

We're hiring a Policy Brand Designer to shape how Kalshi communicates complex policy, regulatory, and public-interest ideas through design. You'll work across editorial, print, and web to turn dense or technical subject matter into clear, compelling, and highly crafted visual work. That could mean designing a policy report, building a campaign landing page, creating an editorial system, developing a visual identity for an initiative, or finding a new way to make an important argument resonate.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You'll partner closely with creative, policy, communications, and other teams across the company.

What You'll Do

  • Own design for policy-focused campaigns, reports, publications, and digital experiences

  • Turn dense or technical ideas into visual stories that are easy to understand and engaging to read

  • Design across editorial, print, and web, from long-form reports and one-pagers to landing pages and social assets

  • Develop strong visual identities and systems for policy initiatives and campaigns

  • Work closely with policy, communications, and brand teams from concept through execution

  • Bring a strong editorial eye to typography, hierarchy, information design, imagery, and layout

  • Maintain a high bar for craft while moving quickly across different formats and projects

What You Bring

  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional editorial, print, and digital/web design

  • Excellent typography and layout skills

  • Strong instincts for information hierarchy and making complex subjects feel accessible

  • Experience building visual systems that work consistently across multiple formats

  • Ability to take a loosely defined idea and develop it into a thoughtful creative direction

  • Comfort collaborating with writers, policy experts, and other non-design stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail and production craft

Our Culture

Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets.

Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.

Commitment to Equal Opportunity

Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe it is our collective responsibility to uphold these values and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. All qualified applicants will be treated with respect and receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, uniform service, veteran status, age, or any other protected characteristic per federal, state, or local law. If you are passionate about what you do and want to use your talents to support our mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.

About Kalshi

The first US federally regulated exchange where you can trade on the outcome of any event.

Kalshi’s historical regulatory approval from the CFTC enables it to offer a new asset class called “event contracts,” which allow traders to take positions on whether a future event will happen or not. Kalshi aims to enable investors to trade on almost anything with economic relevance from Covid numbers to whether a bill will pass in Congress, broadening the historical definition of what a commodity derivative is and paving the way for the futures market to catch up to the novel risks facing the economy today.

Kalshi is backed by Sequoia, Henry Kravis, Charles Schwab, and Y Combinator.
