Key initiatives include advancing the Rural Health Action Plan to address disparities in rural and remote communities, updating the Alberta Health Workforce Strategy to ensure a sustainable and engaged workforce, and expanding access to primary care through physician recruitment, nurse practitioner integration, and the Modernizing Alberta’s Primary Health Care System initiative to improve culturally safe care for Indigenous Peoples.
