What is the compensation package?
Pay: (G23) $21.99 - $30.32 per hour (depending on experience)

Coordinate all aspects of police‑supported and department‑sponsored events, ensuring smooth planning and execution.
Develop event schedules and collaborate with community groups, city departments, and partner organizations.
Oversee workflow and staffing for special events personnel, ensuring adequate coverage and effective on‑site support.
Identify and resolve operational issues during events to ensure safety, efficiency, and community satisfaction.
Assist with creating promotional materials such as flyers, posters, press releases, and social media posts.
Build and maintain relationships with community boards, committees, and stakeholder groups.
Recruit, train, and support event security staff, ensuring compliance with department directives and safety protocols.
Coordinate with local and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe environment for major city events.
Manage event application processes, ensuring plans comply with relevant laws, policies, and city guidelines.
Maintain records and billing for police services.
Evaluate event effectiveness, maintain documentation, and recommend improvements for future operations.
What are the minimum requirements?
Provo City will honor equivalent experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Three years of comparable administrative support experience including basic accounting and coordinating schedules.
A valid, lawful Driver License.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on April 6, 2026Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
