The City of Hopkins is accepting applications for a Police Cadet.
The Police Cadet is a non-sworn uniformed entry level position with the Hopkins Police Department. We are seeking individuals who are interested in law enforcement and who are currently enrolled in a law enforcement program. We want Cadets who have the desire to assist us in building trusting relationships with all of our multi-cultural residents in our community.
The police department will assist the Cadet to prepare for a future police officer position by providing financial assistance for required pre-service education and a part time, non-sworn uniformed position. This position performs a variety of public services for the community.
Upon successful completion of all required law enforcement education and training requirements, along with demonstrated professionalism, strong work ethic, and satisfactory performance as a Police Cadet, the employee may be eligible for appointment as a Police Officer with the Hopkins Police Department.
