General Information
We are looking for a skilled Siemens Polarion Developer to support the development, customization, and integration of Polarion-based solutions within a global, internationally operating company. The role requires strong technical expertise in Java and Velocity, with additional solid knowledge in JavaScript, Java, XML, HTML, CSS. Experience with databases, integrations, and ALM-related processes is highly valued.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively in a global environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain solutions within Siemens Polarion;
- Implement and support Polarion templates, scripts, and workflows;
- Create and adapt UI components using JavaScript, and Velocity;
- Develop integrations and automation solutions using Java and, where applicable, Python;
- Build and optimize workflows, custom fields, LiveDocs templates, and advanced reporting dashboards (using Velocity/Lucene);
- Work with REST APIs, Web Services, and related integration technologies;
- Support data handling and reporting using SQL / OpenSQL and PostgreSQL;
- Support and develop interfaces between Polarion and other enterprise tools;
- Support project migration from legacy tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, Windchill RV&S) into Polarion;
- Maintain and extend configuration files and XML-based structures;
- Manage user permissions, security access, global configurations, and tool maintenance;
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions;
- Troubleshoot issues and provide sustainable, well-documented fixes;
- Contribute to improvements in ALM processes and tool usage;
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Professional experience in software development, ideally with Polarion or another ALM platform;
- Experience in enterprise software development and integration projects;
- Strong proficiency of Java and JavaScript;
- Strong knowledge of Velocity / Lucene;
- Proficiency using HTML, CSS, XML;
- Preferred SQL experience, Python and/or JavaScript for integrations;
- Would be considered an advantage the Experience with Siemens Polarion SDK, experience with Maven, knowledge of PostgreSQL, experience with REST APIs and Web Services;
- Familiarity with additional configuration languages or scripting technologies;
- Basic understanding of ALM tools and related business processes;
- Knowledge of Configuration Management systems e.g. SVN;
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;

- Ability to work independently and take ownership;
- Good communication skills in an international environment;
