About the Role

We are seeking a podiatrist who is passionate about patient care and professional growth to join our growing team. This role is well suited to new graduates or junior clinicians who are eager to build confidence and expand their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment, as well as experienced podiatrists looking to work within a respected multidisciplinary primary care organisation.

You will work alongside a podiatry team that includes two highly experienced podiatrists Junior clinicians will benefit from exposure to a varied caseload, clinical guidance, and opportunities to develop skills across high‑risk foot care, diabetes management, and community podiatry. Experienced podiatrists will have the opportunity to practice with autonomy, contribute to service development, and support the growth of podiatry services within Tāmaki Health.

In this role, you’ll deliver high quality podiatric care across our clinics, supporting patients to improve foot health and mobility while preventing complications, particularly for people with diabetes and other high-risk conditions.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll support patients with their foot health while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Your daytoday work will include:

  • Providing high-quality podiatric consultations, assessments, and treatments aligned with best clinical practice
  • Diagnosing and managing a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, including diabetic and high‑risk feet
  • Completing diabetic foot health assessments and contributing to chronic disease management plans
  • Empowering patients through education on preventive foot care and footwear
  • Supporting the development of Foot Care Assistants through clinical training and competency assessments (with guidance available)
  • Managing clinical documentation, ACC claims, and reporting accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborating closely with GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated, holistic care
  • Promoting health equity and embedding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety, privacy, and professional compliance

About You

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Health Care (Podiatry)
  • Experience: New graduates are warmly encouraged to apply; experienced clinicians are equally welcome
  • Registration: ACC‑registered practitioner
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge: Understanding of diabetes management and primary care systems (or a willingness to learn)
  • Eligibility: Legal right to work in New Zealand and compliance with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014

Desirable: Experience with Medtech and/or community or primary healthcare settings.
