About Winnunga ACHS
Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services is an Aboriginal community-controlled organization committed to delivering comprehensive, culturally safe healthcare services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the ACT and surrounding regions. We have a great multidisciplinary clinical team including GPs, visiting specialists, nurses, allied health specialists and admin support.
We are seeking a dedicated Podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality foot and lower limb care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally safe and supportive environment.
About the Role:
• Provide high level comprehensive podiatry care, including assessments, wound management, treatment planning, and prevention of foot-related conditions.
• Exercise independent professional judgment in solving problems and managing cases
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Contribute to community health initiatives and chronic disease management
• Participate in health promotion activities, staff education, Medicare billing, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure ethical, client-centered care.
You must have the following
• Qualified and registered Podiatrist with AHPRA
• Experience or interest in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to holistic and culturally appropriate healthcare
