The KQED Podcast Operations and Engagement Intern plays a fundamental role within the department’s operations team and will work closely with the Executive Director of Podcast and Podcast Engagement Producer as they collaborate with podcast teams and other departments on audience growth and engagement efforts. This role will support KQED’s podcasts with tasks that may include: administrative support and copywriting for internal and external cross promos, data management, research, and other duties in support of production teams, as well as our audience engagement activities including social media content production, community interaction, and events planning.
KQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity, equity, and belonging. This will enable us to better serve and reflect the Bay Area through diverse and inclusive storytelling.
We value the contributions of marginalized people in society — including Black, Indigenous, and all people of color, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ people — and we believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do, and we strongly encourage members of these communities to apply.
