
POC Lab Scientist - Children's Behavioral Health Center (Fall 2026)

Under minimal supervision provide oversite, training, and technical assistance for both moderate and waived complexity point of care testing in both a hospital and ambulatory setting. Activities will include but not limited to operating and maintaining test equipment, monitoring, and evaluating the quality of testing, verifying, and reporting test results, and resolving technical and quality control problems. Additional duties include general and administrative support functions necessary for the routine operation of the laboratory.

Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or medical technology degree required. Bachelor’s degree must include minimally 60 semester hours or equivalent, that includes either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours – 6 chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology any combination. Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS). Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science or healthcare field preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills in on or more subspecialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and other Point of Care tests required.
