Who are we looking for?
Our Team Up program is seeking a PNG Sports Partnerships Specialist based in our GHD office in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea for a full-time fixed term position until 31 March 2027. This position is responsible for supporting Team Up partners in PNG and responding to requests from the Australian High Commission in PNG and will be integral to the successful delivery of Team Up in PNG.
This position provides technical advice and assistance to Team Up PNG partners and stakeholders and collaborates with a range of key strategic partners to strengthen the overall Team Up approach in PNG. This position will also support the reporting and content production requirements as part of the program management of Team Up in PNG.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting PNG programs with Team Up requirements in compliance with Australian Government aid programming
Liaising with the Australian Government primarily through the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby and Department of Foreign Affairs in Canberra, Australia on matters related to Team Up and coordinating interactions between Australian High Commission and partners
Supporting the production of key program deliverables, specifically related to monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) and public diplomacy events and communications
Supporting Team Up reporting, including collecting and analysing necessary qualitative and quantitative data, collaborating on the drafting of key reports, incorporating analysis of evidence and outlining progress towards intermediate and end of program outcomes
Supporting regular learning and capacity development events with the Team Up partners, stakeholders and/or DFAT, including program workshops
Coordinating and managing logistics of travel, workshops and events for Team Up and its partners in PNG
Assisting on internal procurement requests and documentation when required
What you bring to the team:
Minimum 3-5 years’ demonstrated experience in sport and/or aid fields, coupled with qualifications in sports management, project management or related field
Experience and understanding of monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) in relation to aid programming
Ability to produce information, education and communication content related to aid programs
Self-starter and may have an interest or previous experience in international development and sport
Knowledge and experience related to safeguarding, gender equality and inclusion in sport
Intermediate to advanced capabilities in using Microsoft Office programs
