As aPneumatic Tube Controls Technician , you will helpmaintainthe systems that support thetimelymovement of critical materials throughout our facilities. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all areas of the pneumatic tube system, troubleshoot electrical and electronic components, and help ensure the systemremainsoperational and dependable.Through your technicalexpertiseand attention to detail, you will help keep an essential part of our healthcare environment moving, supporting caregivers and, ultimately, ourpatients.
A caregiver in thisroleworks3rdshift, 10:30pm—7:00am. Weekend rotation/on-call reequipments every6 weeksafter training.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Repair andkeeppneumatic-tube carrier systemmaintained, using hand tools and precision-measuring instruments.
Decipher information from equipment manuals and schematics to troubleshootvarious typesof equipment malfunctions.
Locate sources of trouble, services, andinstallparts.
Provide reports and documentation asrequired
Work may occasionally be assigned across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
Two years of experience within General Facilities Maintenance or related field
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Completion of a formal Pneumatic Tube Controls or Electro/Mechanic Technology training/educational program
Experience in the repair and servicing of Pneumatic Tube Controls or Electro/Mechanic Technology
