Job Description

Lead planning, control, and resource management processes across the R&D organization to support execution excellence in a complex, multi project environment. Ensure accurate plan vs actual tracking, high quality work plans, and effective engineering resource utilization with strong emphasis on transparency and data driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage plan‑vs‑actual tracking for R&D programs and workstreams.
  • Monitor engineering resource allocation across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identify schedule, resource, and scope deviations; analyze and escalate as needed.
  • Ensure high‑quality work plans with clear milestones, dependencies, risks, and capacity needs.
  • Maintain an organization‑wide view of R&D capacity, demand, and utilization.
  • Analyze workload and utilization trends; recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Lead change‑control processes and assess impacts on approved plans.
  • Define KPIs and develop dashboards and reports for leadership.
  • Present status updates with risks, bottlenecks, and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering leads, product management, and leadership.
  • Maintain planning methodologies, templates, and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years in PMO, R&D planning, project management, or planning & control roles.
  • Experience in plan‑vs‑actual tracking and resource management in R&D.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret engineering workloads.
  • Proficiency with project/resource management tools (MS Project, Jira, Monday, Excel).
  • Strong process orientation and understanding of system‑level R&D interactions.
  • Ability to influence without authority; high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in global companies and working with international stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with AI‑based monitoring and control tools.
  • Software‑oriented knowledge to understand R&D team challenges.
  • Project management certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
