Commerce & Marketing Company Technology Supervisory Department (CMTSD) is responsible for the development and operation of E-commerce and marketing-related services within Rakuten Group. Our organization belongs to this department.

Department Overview

The CAIDO Office, situated within the Tech Management Office, operates directly under the Company Chief AI & Data Officer (CAIDO), who also serves as the Tech Executive for the C&M Company. Acting as a command center, our office drives the cross-company utilization of AI and data in alignment with the CAIDO's strategic vision.

Our mission is to maximize the value of our AI and data assets, drive revenue growth by supporting business units in their AI/data initiatives, and foster the development and deployment of AI and data talent. This is a highly rewarding role where you will create business value through the power of AI and data, utilizing one of Japan's leading ecosystems of e-commerce and digital services.

Position Details

In this position, you will be responsible for aggregating, managing, and reporting information on AI and data utilization promotion projects being advanced in each business of the Commerce & Marketing Company.

- Project status and management
- Standardization and guideline development
- KPI and reporting system development
- Sharing of best practices
- Optimization of the overall portfolio

- Reporting to management (including material creation)

Additionally, you may be responsible for data consulting services to other departments as needed.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in Project Management or PMO (Over 3 years).
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
- Strong interest in and understanding of creating business value through AI and data utilization.
- Business-level English proficiency (equivalent to TOEIC 800 or higher).

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in PMO within a corporate planning department or consulting firm
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and autonomously across multiple teams and functions
- Skills in problem-solving, strategic thinking, and hypothesis design

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
