Job Description

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology

Work where tomorrow is created. Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. As the core of every electronically controlled system, they have become indispensable in our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes, or smart factories.

ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. To meet the high requirements, we rely on interdisciplinary teams of highly qualified employees from different fields.

In the Project Management Office (PMO) of Semiconductor Manufacturing Optics (SMO), we support the Fields of Business in project portfolio and project management, coordinate key planning processes, and ensure modern standards in project management methods, processes, and reporting within SMO. In this context, the PMO develops and provides software-based applications and IT tools for project and resource management.

Your Role

As a designer of modern PMO IT solutions, you will build sustainable IT solutions for the PMO of SMO, be responsible for the entire application lifecycle, and connect technical architecture with organizational processes.

Using modern Microsoft technologies, you will create scalable tools that increase efficiency in project management, improve transparency and quality in reporting, drive automation, and strengthen ownership for PMO IT solutions – thereby building a future-proof and efficient PMO IT solution landscape and positioning the PMO as an enabler for the business.

Your Role:

  • Design, development, and operation of data-driven PMO reporting and process solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Python, and cloud technologies

  • Integration and harmonization of data from different systems related to planning, reporting, and project management

  • Automation of workflows and processes using Power Automate and API interfaces (e.g., ServiceNow) in collaboration with IT/CIT

  • End-to-end application lifecycle management, including design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement

  • Ensuring the quality and performance of applications as well as managing external partners

  • Planning and execution of rollouts, trainings, and change management to empower the PMO, including the development of KPIs and the use of innovative technologies such as AI and low-code

Your Profile

  • Successful degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Natural Sciences

  • Solid experience with Power Fx, JavaScript/TypeScript, JSON and (relational) databases, as well as confident handling of Dataverse, cloud platforms, and the Microsoft ecosystem ( Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint) – ideally complemented by Python, data integration, and initial insights into UI/UXdesign

  • Experience in designing, developing, and operating data-driven reporting and process solutions in a project management environment

  • Strong business understanding to translate business requirements for different stakeholders

  • Proactive, solution-oriented personality with strategic vision for software projects

  • Strong teamwork and social skills, proactive working style, and effective stakeholder management in cross-functional teams

  • Very good German and English skills
