What will you be doing?

The PMO Business Analyst supports the Corporate PMO by providing analysis, documentation, and insights that strengthen project and portfolio delivery. The role is responsible for gathering and structuring business requirements, preparing analytical inputs for business cases, mapping processes, and supporting PMO reporting and governance activities.

Working closely with project managers, sponsors, Finance, and cross-functional teams, the Business Analyst ensures that initiatives are clearly defined, well-documented, and aligned with PMO standards. The role contributes to improving transparency, decision-making, and the overall maturity of the project and portfolio management function. This position operates under the direction of the Head of Corporate PMO and contributes to the company’s overall strategic execution capability.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

Conducts interviews, workshops, and analysis to collect requirements from business stakeholders.

Documents business, functional, and nonfunctional requirements using PMO-approved templates.

Ensures clarity, completeness, and alignment with project scope.

Business Case & Financial Input Support

Supports preparation of business cases by gathering data, validating assumptions, and structuring financial inputs.

Works with Finance and business owners to ensure consistency and accuracy in cost/benefit estimations.

Process Mapping & Analysis

Maps current-state and future-state business processes and identifies gaps or improvement areas.

Facilitates process definition sessions with stakeholders.

Supports the development of operational impact assessments.

Reporting & Data Support

Assists in preparing portfolio and project reports, dashboards, and data templates.

Ensures data quality and accuracy before reports are submitted to PMO leadership.

Maintains structured project and portfolio documentation.

PMO Governance Support

Supports PMO governance processes, including intake, prioritization, and project lifecycle compliance checks.

Ensures project teams follow PMO standards, templates, and documentation requirements.

Tracks assigned actions, decisions, and follow-up items for governance meetings.

Stakeholder Engagement

Coordinates with teams across business units to collect data, clarify requirements, and validate assumptions.

Maintains effective communication with project managers and sponsors.

Qualifications

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, IT, Management, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, PMO analysis, or project support roles.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and prepare structured documentation.

  • Experience in process mapping and gathering requirements using standard techniques.

  • Proficiency with Excel, documentation tools, and reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI, PPM systems).

  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across multiple business units.
