Job Description

The PMO Analytics & Project Manager supports organizational objectives by leading projects and strengthening Project Management Office operations through portfolio analytics, reporting, governance, and process improvement. This role provides end-to-end project leadership while delivering actionable insights that enhance decision-making, resource planning, and portfolio performance. The position partners with business leaders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, accurate portfolio reporting, and compliance with established project management standards. Through analysis of project and portfolio data, this role helps drive transparency, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across the organization.

Primary Duties:

• Leads projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develops and maintains project plans, project documentation, risk assessments, communication strategies, and status reporting to support successful project delivery.
• Partners with business leaders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution, manage risks, resolve issues, and drive organizational priorities.
• Maintains project portfolio data and reporting processes to provide visibility into project health, resource utilization, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Analyzes project and portfolio performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations that support business decision-making.
• Develops and delivers executive-level reporting, performance metrics, dashboards, and portfolio reviews that improve organizational transparency and governance.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating project management practices, reporting processes, and business workflows to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Ensures compliance with project management standards, governance requirements, and documentation practices while promoting consistency across projects and programs.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Lead assigned projects from initiation through implementation, including planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Facilitate meetings, stakeholder discussions, project reviews, and communication activities to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource requirements and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Develop and maintain portfolio reporting, performance metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools to support leadership decision-making.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret project and portfolio data to identify trends, resource constraints, schedule variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Support governance reviews through preparation of reports, project summaries, portfolio assessments, and leadership presentations.
• Collaborate with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure project data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, project execution, and organizational performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, Analytics, or a related discipline;
• 4+ years of experience in project management, business analysis, portfolio management, project reporting, data analytics, or related disciplines;
• or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Project Management Professional certification preferred.
• Experience supporting project management offices, portfolio governance processes, operational environments, or enterprise-wide initiatives preferred.
• Experience developing project reporting, performance metrics, dashboards, and business analytics solutions preferred.

Work Environment:

• Performs work primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to operational or project sites.
• May perform tasks both indoors and outdoors during project-related activities.
• Regular interaction and collaboration with business leaders, project teams, contractors, consultants, and operational personnel.
• Periodic exposure to varying weather conditions during site visits.
• Compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Potential exposure to noise, dust, and conditions typical of operational, construction, or industrial work locations.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by work area standards.
