About the Role:

Working closely with project andprogrammemanagers, product, and technology teams,you'lldrive portfolio transparency, quality assurance, and delivery best practice. That means everything from coordinating reporting and tracking dependencies,to leadinghealth-checks and assurance reviews,andcoaching colleagues on how to deliver better.You'llalso get hands-on with AI-powered tools to generate portfolio insights — thisisn'ta tick-box PMO role.

This is a genuine opportunity to shape a maturing PMO functioncontributing to team roadmap delivery, capability building, and embedding standards that raise the bar across our delivery practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portfolio reporting & insightCoordinate andconsolidatestatus reporting across the portfolio, producing analysis and AI-assisted insights toprovidevisibility of the health of the portfolio andsupportprioritisation, dependency tracking, resource allocation, and investment decisions.

  • Governance & delivery frameworksDefine and implement proportionateprogrammeand project governance, QA frameworks, and best practice standards for risk, issue management, and change control.

  • Delivery advisory & assuranceAct as a trusted advisor to project andprogrammemanagers, providing guidance, practical recommendations, and assurance through health-checks, stage gate reviews, and escalation support.

  • Capability buildingChampion delivery best practice across theorganisation, supporting the development of training materials and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen delivery capability at scale.

  • PMO development & stakeholder engagementContribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO function, lead on service improvement initiatives, represent the team with credibility across DCE and Technology & Operations, and build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

RequiredSkills & Experience

  • Qualifications & frameworksProjectmanagementand PMO certification (e.g.PRINCE2, P3O, or APM PMO Practitioner), with a solid understanding ofprogrammeand project delivery frameworks including Agile and hybrid approaches, and hands-on PMO experience.

  • Data, reporting & toolingProficiency in data manipulation, reporting, andvisualisationtools,with experience building andmaintainingdashboards, and familiarity with PPM software and collaboration tools.

  • Analytical &organisationalcapabilityAn analytical mindset witha track recordof producing insightful analysis to drive decisions, combined with strongorganisationalskills and the ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities to deadline.

  • Stakeholder & cross-functional collaborationExperience working with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple teams, with the confidence to build effective relationships and influence without authority.

  • Proactive & self-motivatedA track recordof taking ownership,demonstratinginitiative, and keeping stakeholders informed,with a willingness to get involved across all aspects of PMO work.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
