The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of XDU1350 programs, ensuring material readiness, manufacturing preparedness, and flawless transition from BU PMO to plant sustaining operations.
This role bridges Business Unit Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Plant Operations to guarantee on time launch, stable ramp up, and operational readiness aligned with customer commitments.
The Project Manager is accountable for execution discipline across all NPDI phases and ensures no program is released to production without full operational and material readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1- Program Execution & NPDI Governance monitor and enforce execution across all NPDI phases, ensure cross-functional alignment between BU PMO, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations, drive risk identification and mitigation using structured project management tools, maintain clear milestone tracking and escalation cadence, validate that lessons learned are captured and implemented before launch.
2- Material Readiness & Supply Chain Alignment: Ensure full BOM validation and stabilization before pilot and production release, monitor material availability, lead times, and supplier readiness, prevent last minute part additions or engineering changes without impact analysis, coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Warehouse to secure material coverage for builds. Drive early visibility of supply risks and mitigation plans.
3- Manufacturing Readiness & Plant Integration: Confirm process readiness (work instructions, tooling, test equipment, layouts), validate capacity planning, labor readiness, and takt alignment, coordinate pilot builds and monitor yield performance, confirm training completion prior to production release.
4- BU PMO to Plant Transition Management: Lead formal handover from BU PMO to plant sustaining team, validate: Stable BOM, Approved routings, Approved test procedures, Cost alignment, ensure open risks and actions are clearly transferred and owned.
5- Risk Management & Escalation:
Maintain active risk register, proactively escalate schedule, material, or design risks, support rapid decision making to protect delivery commitments, prevent reactive firefighting by driving structured pre launch reviews.
