Youth Counselor | North Oaks PMIC
A difficult chapter doesn't have to determine how the story ends.
For teens facing behavioral and emotional challenges, progress doesn't always happen in big, obvious ways.
Sometimes it's choosing to talk instead of shutting down. Walking away instead of reacting. Taking responsibility after making a mistake. Trying again after a difficult day.
As a Youth Counselor with our North Oaks PMIC program, you'll be there for those moments , helping male and female youth ages 12–17 recognize their strengths, develop new skills, and see that where they are today doesn't have to define where they go next.
You can be part of what comes next.
What is PMIC?
PMIC stands for Psychiatric Medical Institution for Children.
North Oaks PMIC provides 24-hour residential treatment and support for youth who need a higher level of care for behavioral and emotional needs.
Our team creates a structured, therapeutic environment where teens can feel safe, work toward individualized treatment goals, develop healthier coping and communication skills, and build positive relationships with adults they can trust.
The goal isn't perfection. It's progress , one choice, one skill, and one success at a time.
Working with teens isn't always easy. The progress you help create may not happen overnight.
But the conversation you have today could be the one they remember later.
The boundary you consistently hold could become the structure they needed.
The encouragement you give after a setback could be what helps them try one more time.
That's what makes this work matter.
If you're patient, dependable, compassionate, resilient, and ready for a career where your presence has a purpose, we want to hear from you.
HELP THEM SEE WHAT'S POSSIBLE.
Apply today and become part of a young person's next chapter.
