Hennepin Healthcare has an opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position working Monday-Friday days.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Provide direct Psychiatric care to assigned patients on the Inpatient UnitWork collaboratively and in consultation with the medical staff as indicated by the patient's health status and medical conditionAssess patients and prescribe appropriate medications according to prescribing authority protocolOrder, conduct, and interpret testsMinimum Qualifications:Masters degree in Mental Health Nursing or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institutionCurrent Minnesota license to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (or eligibility)If APRN, certification in Psychiatry (PMHNP) by an agency authorized to certify professional nurses in advanced practiceCompletion of mandatory psychopharmacological courseworkPreferred Qualification:Previous experience working in Mental HealthSALARY
