Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Sr. Engineer (Planning) for our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi within our within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our office in Abu Dhabi.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Sr. Engineer (Planning) with a proven track record in the detailed design of ADNOC projects.

Key objectives for this role:

• Develop and maintain realistic project schedules.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines.
• Support on-time achievement of key project milestones and deliverables.
• Produce reliable schedule forecasts and completion dates.
• Maintain accurate progress measurement systems.
• Provide early warning of potential schedule deviations.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Create Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) schedules.
• Establish project milestones, critical paths, and project baselines.
• Prepare Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 schedules.
• Develop work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Update schedules with actual progress data.
• Track critical and near-critical activities.
• Identify schedule variances and delays.
• Recommend corrective and recovery actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Generate S-curves, progress dashboards, and KPI reports.
• Measure engineering, procurement, and construction progress.
• Present schedule status to management and clients.
• Provide project forecasting and trend analysis.

Expected:

• Bachelor’s degree in discipline engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas projects.
• PMC experience is high preferable
• Large projects experience is must. Middle East / GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, etc. is a must
• At least 3+ years’ experience in similar position
• At least 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects
• Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects (CAPEX > USD 500M)
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa
