Wood is currently recruiting for PMC Planning Specialist role to support our ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities
• Align with Head of Projects in transitioning the current scheduling and planning system from using MS-Projects into using Primavera P6.
• Support the Project Manager on project-related activities on individual projects
• Prepare detailed project schedules as required for all major projects
• Track progress on all major projects through interface with the project manager, operations, engineering and sub-contractors and provide detailed reports on current progress, projected finish on both cost and schedule versus baseline using earned value, percentage complete, s-curves, CPI, SPI indicators, current spend reports etc
• Interface with Customers project managers/expeditors/planners on schedule issues/reports etc as requested by the Project Manager
• Interface with Quality Control to prepare, manage, maintain and report progress on inspection and testing schedules
• Support the Project Management team as required on other project scheduling/project management issues as required.
• Create detailed project schedules with baselines
• Track and update project progress using earned value techniques etc
• Issue project progress reports as required
• Interface with all points of contact on individual projects as required including but not limited to internal resources, customers, vendors and sub-contractors
• Attend project kick off and progress meetings as required
• Visit project sites to meet customers/sub-contractors and to review/monitor/record progress as required
• Develop project schedules for use during the tendering process
• Develop, maintain and report progress on the company’s resource planner including projects and operations
• Develop, maintain and report progress on the company’s inspection and testing schedule as required
• Support the Project Manager on other project issues as required
• Work in accordance with the defined project procedures and instructions issued by the Project Manager
• Be able and willing to cover for other project team members during critical project periods / vacation periods etc.

Expected
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with a focus on project management or scheduling.
• Proven experience in planning and scheduling for oil & gas projects, with a minimum of 5 years in a lead role.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, namely Primavera P6.
• Significant, demonstrable experience of the application of project planning techniques including earned value, cpi, spi, eac, etc
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address schedule-related challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and guiding a team of planning engineers.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to project planning and scheduling in the oil & gas sector.
• Certification in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a plus.
