Job Objective
To lead and manage all marine and land survey activities related to bathymetric and topographic data acquisition for ADNOC projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with project specifications, and alignment with international standards. The role is responsible for overseeing survey execution, validating data quality, and providing technical assurance to support engineering, construction, and offshore installation activities.
- Lead and supervise all bathymetric and topographic survey activities for offshore and nearshore ADNOC projects in line with project requirements and specifications
- Manage survey contractors and ensure all survey operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with HSE and ADNOC standards
- Review and approve survey methodologies, procedures, and deliverables including survey reports, charts, and digital terrain models
- Ensure proper calibration, validation, and deployment of survey equipment such as multibeam echo sounders, single beam systems, GPS/GNSS, and total stations
- Oversee data acquisition, processing, and interpretation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project tolerances
- Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, and offshore installation teams to support project planning and execution
- Monitor survey progress, identify risks or deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality targets
- Ensure adherence to international standards such as IHO, S-44, and other applicable survey and geospatial guidelines
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to survey teams and ensure competency development
- Liaise with ADNOC stakeholders and third parties to ensure alignment on survey scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain proper documentation, data management, and archiving of all survey outputs
- Support pre-commissioning, as-built surveys, and verification activities as required

Expected
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Hydrography, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in marine surveying with strong exposure to bathymetric and topographic surveys in offshore oil and gas projects
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role within PMC or EPC environments, preferably on ADNOC projects
- Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey standards including IHO S-44 and relevant international best practices
- Proficiency in survey and data processing software such as CARIS, Hypack, AutoCAD, and GIS platforms
- Hands-on experience with survey equipment including multibeam and single beam echo sounders, GNSS systems, motion sensors, and tidal correction systems
- Strong understanding of offshore construction support surveys, pipeline and cable route surveys, and as-built verification
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE compliance and quality assurance in offshore environments
- Ability to manage multiple survey campaigns and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment
