Job Description

At Amazon, we strive to be Earth's most customer-centric company. The Transportation Capacity team seeks a results-driven Program Manager to lead planning initiatives across Amazon Mexico's transportation network. This role drives network optimization, cross-functional execution, and data-driven decision-making to ensure cost-efficient package movement at scale.

You will own one or more planning verticals — Labor Planning, Volume Planning, or Middle Mile Planning — developing capacity plans, optimizing resource utilization, and delivering actionable insights that improve network performance against OP2 targets.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute short-to-mid term capacity plans (labor, volume, or middle mile) ensuring network readiness to meet demand without creating restrictions
Own weekly productivity metrics by optimizing utilization, route frequency, headcount allocation, or trailer fill rates against OP2 targets; identify and close gaps between planned and actual performance
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for cost overruns and capacity gaps; deliver remediation plans with clear owners, timelines, and recurrence prevention measures
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sort Center Operations, Fulfillment Centers, Network Design, OTR Planning, ATS, and Finance to align capacity with upstream volume signals and downstream delivery requirements
Generate and deliver weekly Flash reports with performance summaries and action plans for senior leadership review
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual planning time, minimize re-work, and increase automation through tool development and system integration
Manage cost trade-off decisions by quantifying the impact of speed vs. cost vs. utilization across the network
Translate demand signals (volume forecasts, labor demand, truck requirements) into actionable capacity plans across all lane types and node categories
Support high-volume event planning by developing capacity ramp-up/ramp-down plans and monitoring real-time network performance during execution
