Job Description

As a retail sales associate, you will help the customers to fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, sales associates can make recommendations which solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience.

• Engage with customers in a friendly, helpful manner, using experience and people skills to guide them toward the right products and solutions.

• Listen carefully to understand customer needs and provide practical advice for their projects.

• Stay informed about current promotions and product offerings to share accurate information when needed.

• Take initiative in assisting customers, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their choices.

• Maintain a safety and welcoming environment, prioritizing excellent customer service at all times.

• Help resolve customer questions or challenges promptly and professionally.

• Enjoy learning about new products and trends, keeping your knowledge fresh and relevant.

• Friendly and effective communicator who enjoys working as part of a team

• Previous experience in customer service and/or sales, gained through work life experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable lifting up to 55 lbs on an occasional basis

• Ability to workdays/evening/weekends (rotating shifts) 

• Willing and able to learn and operate the applicable computer system (D635) used to process orders 

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent considered an asset
