
A growing plumbing and fire sprinkler company is looking for a detail-oriented Plumbing Takeoff & Estimating Assistant to support the estimating team.
In this role, you’ll review construction drawings and shop plans, perform material takeoffs, and assist with preparing quotes and estimates. You do not need to be an expert estimator, but you should already have some exposure to construction plans, plumbing systems, sprinkler systems, or takeoff work.
Training will be provided, but we are not looking to train completely from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
Takeoffs & Estimating
Review construction drawings and shop drawings
Perform takeoffs for plumbing and sprinkler components such as:
Toilets
Piping
Valves
Fixtures
Sprinkler materials
Count and quantify materials from plans
Assist with quote preparation and estimating activities
Verify quantities and review plans for missing items
Documentation & Coordination
Maintain organized project records
Assist with estimate revisions and updates
Communicate with internal team members regarding project requirements
Follow structured estimating procedures
What We’re Looking For
Some experience with construction plans, takeoffs, or estimating
Familiarity with plumbing or sprinkler systems
Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with measurements and quantities
Good written and spoken English
Based in Santiago and available for full-time in-office work
Bonus Skills
Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or similar tools
Construction estimating experience
Experience with plumbing or fire sprinkler projects
