We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician with HVAC experience to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and light commercial plumbing systems while also supporting HVAC service needs when required.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on plumbing experience, working knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
  • Perform plumbing service calls involving water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, piping, drains, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Identify leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and other plumbing system problems.
  • Repair and replace water heaters, including traditional tank and tankless systems.
  • Install and replace plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, and other components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and plumbing system inspections.
  • Diagnose and assist with HVAC service and maintenance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, airflow, and system performance issues.
  • Work with air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment.
  • Clearly explain recommended repairs, replacement options, and preventative maintenance to customers.
  • Provide estimates and obtain customer authorization before beginning work.
  • Identify additional service opportunities based on the condition of the customer's plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Complete work according to applicable plumbing, mechanical, and safety codes.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job notes, materials used, and customer information.
  • Complete work orders and documentation using ServiceTitan or similar field service software.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing service experience required.
  • Previous HVAC service, maintenance, or installation experience required.
  • Strong plumbing diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
  • Experience servicing and installing water heaters, fixtures, piping, valves, and related plumbing equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose plumbing leaks, drainage issues, water pressure problems, and equipment failures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic HVAC electrical and mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of applicable plumbing, mechanical, and safety codes.
  • ServiceTitan experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials associated with plumbing and HVAC service work.
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and other confined work areas.
  • Plumbing and/or HVAC license required where applicable by state or local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plumbing license or certification.
  • HVAC license or certification.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • Experience with both residential plumbing and HVAC service.
  • Experience providing repair and replacement recommendations directly to homeowners.
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or another field service management system.
