Core Responsibilities
Architect the future of critical building systems by designing comprehensive plumbing and fire protection solutions for diverse commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
Drive the production of meticulous construction documents, drawings, and specifications, utilizing advanced, production-level Revit modeling.
Execute precise calculations, system sizing, and strategic equipment selection to ensure optimal performance, safety, and sustainability.
Integrate complex systems seamlessly through proactive, cross-disciplinary coordination with architects, structural engineers, and wider MEP teams.
Steer the construction phase by conducting comprehensive field surveys, site visits, and construction administration tasks to safeguard design intent.
Ensure unwavering compliance with stringent NYC Building, Plumbing, and Fire Codes, alongside the highest industry best practices.
Champion project delivery by upholding strict quality control standards while managing multiple tasks to meet vital project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
3–5 years of dedicated plumbing and fire protection design experience within the AEC industry.
High-level proficiency in Revit with proven production-level capabilities.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and standard industry design tools.
Strong foundational understanding of building systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas, and fire suppression systems.
Familiarity and working knowledge of the NYC Building Code, Plumbing Code, and Fire Code.
Preferred Qualifications
EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or active pursuit of Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Proven track record of coordinating complex, multi-system projects specifically within the dense New York City construction market.
