As a Plumbing Paratechnical Officer, you will support Council's plumbing assessment functions by reviewing and assessing low and medium-risk domestic plumbing applications.
You will ensure applications comply with relevant legislation, Council policies and Australian Standards, helping to deliver efficient and timely outcomes for customers and the community.
Working within a collaborative team, you will provide technical advice to customers and stakeholders, assist with the submission of quality applications, and use electronic systems to assess applications and site information.
Your ability to interpret legislation and communicate technical requirements in a clear and practical way will be key to your success.
This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a regulated environment, building positive relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.
While plumbing knowledge is highly regarded, it is not essential. We can teach the technical aspects of the role and provide training and support to help you succeed.
You will have the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise while contributing to safe, compliant and sustainable development across Brisbane.
